Your notification inbox is personal. Reading a notice and deciding an application are separate actions.
Choose the right tab
Open Notifications while signed in. All updates collects your eligible notices. Applications to review shows outstanding requests addressed to you as a community leader. My applications contains your application receipts and decisions. Community updates includes creator-workspace notices.
The Applications to review count includes pending work even after you have read the notice. Other tab badges show unread notices. Business inquiries and Messages are labeled Planned; they are not working messaging features in this release.
Open the full request
- Select the notification’s summary row to expand its details. In the currently installed Core 0.6.0 layout, the summary row is the toggle.
- Read the applicant, organization, relationship, complete request, and current status. With JavaScript enabled, opening the details marks the notice read. Without JavaScript, use the explicit Open request and mark read control.
- If you are the authorized reviewer and the request is still pending, enter a brief review note. Check the independent-verification confirmation before approving, then choose Approve or Decline.
- Confirm the saved result. The same application record is updated in the community’s Memberships or Business affiliations list.
You cannot approve your own request or verify an affiliation for a business you manage. A stale or already-decided request must be reloaded rather than submitted repeatedly.
Keep an unread reminder
Choose Mark unread on a read notice to restore its unread state. This does not undo an approval, reopen a decided application, submit another request, or send another email. Reading a pending application also does not remove the need to review it.
Find an older update
Use the applicant, business, or community search; read-status and community filters; and newest/oldest sorting. Clear a restrictive filter when a notice seems missing. Refresh to load newly received cards; the unread indicators refresh separately. Earlier approvals from before notification installation are not replayed.
Dates and email
Dates use the configured Tribeify display timezone. Central Time is labeled CDT or CST as appropriate for the date. Email copies require separately configured delivery; an on-site notice does not prove email receipt. See missing application emails.

Reviewed October 9, 2026 against installed Core 0.6.0. The clearer View request toggle is part of the pending 0.6.1 update, not the current screen. Notification retention is separate from the membership record.
